The Papyrus Stool Series from the Hokkaido furniture brand ISU Works is known for its ergonomic design and precision CNC cutting technology.
Crafted from hard maple, one of the strongest and most durable hardwoods, each stool is built using traditional Japanese joinery techniques, ensuring exceptional strength and longevity.
Despite its compact size, the Papyrus Stool features a stable structure and a stackable design, reflecting ISU Works’ commitment to meticulous craftsmanship.
According to testing by a Japanese JIS-certified company, the Papyrus series can safely support 130 kg and withstand up to 200 kg at its maximum.
Papyrus comes in four different heights. The model shown in the photo is the H37, ideal as a shoe-changing stool. A side hook can also be added for holding a shoehorn, making it even more convenient.
With a slim 25 cm depth, it fits perfectly in entryways or beside shoe cabinets.
The tallest model, H62, functions as a bar stool—great for kitchen islands or bar counters. All sizes can be easily stacked, making storage effortless even with multiple stools.
