• Handcrafted: Each mug is individually finished by artisans, so the color and gradient vary slightly from piece to piece.

The deep blue color is particularly special. Joshua Kobo uses its own blend of gosu, a traditional blue pigment, to create a distinctive shade known as “Joshua Blue.” Inspired by the Seto Inland Sea, artisans apply the color individually with an airbrush to create a gradient resembling the changing shades of the ocean at different depths.

The mug’s slightly stepped shape is inspired by bamboo and its joints, combining Japanese design elements with the aesthetic of Starbucks Reserve®.
